This is one heck of a spinner! I've darn near gotten up to centrafuge speeds with just a few easy pumps. Great for drying off all kinds of fruits and vegetables. What I use it for most is drying potato slices before making french fries. This spinner dries them better than any other method I've tried.
One bit of advice: Just because the bowl is so big, don't take that as an invitation to fill it. I've found that most people who've had bad experiences with salad spinners overloaded the spinner.
Like all Oxo products, this spinner is designed to be easy to operate even if you have weak or frail hands. If you have any problems gripping things in your kitchen, I strongly suggest looking over the full line of Oxo products. The oversized handles (in this case, the part you press down rather than grip) are a godsend. Don't let hand problems keep you out of your kitchen!
