Sad news. On the night of December 3, 2005, vandals damaged the display. They apparently used some mechanical means to pull on all the inflatables. Two of them were found a half-block away after a neighbor heard them being dragged behind a car. Both of those, as well as the others, suffered significant damage. The fabric was ripped. Support hooks were mangled. Bases were cracked. Straps were torn. There was some additional damage to other lights on the ground as well.
While I may be able to repair some of the damage, I simply don't have the time or materials. This year's Christmas lights display is officially dark. I will be using what little time I have to disassemble what remains. At this time, I do not know if I will put up a new display next year. I do not know if I want to spend the money to replace and repair the damaged parts.
If you would like to show your appreciation, please visit The Holzemville Mall, and do some shopping there. If you use my links to go to Amazon.com, I recieve a referal fee. Income from the mall goes to maintenance of my Christmas displays. Thank you.
